As spring sets in it?s a good time to remind ourselves of why we call Los Angeles our home. The story of Los Angeles is one of diversity: from the indigenous Chumash and Tongva/Gabrielinos to the Asian, African, Latino ,European and various other communities that have arrived and continue to arrive now?Los Angeles is ours. On the night of April 11th we will Dance and Party in honor of ?La Reina? (a remix to one of the former names of the multi-ethnic Afro/Latin/Native settlement: El Pueblo de Nuestra Se?ora la Reina de los ?ngeles de la Porci?ncula) that would become Los Angeles.

Street Inc will be hosting you at Senior Fish with Selectas: Papalotl, Lady Diplomat and Rani D spinning up music that will draw out the Angeleno in us all. Guarantee it will be Hot like our city. Live performances by Street Inc Residents (and LA Natives): Inner City Dwellers and Wose Kofi will make sure the LA streets are represented.

Plus: For a special taste Street Inc will be curating an exhibit of images and pieces of Los Angeles. When you?re not staring at your dance partner you can be staring at images pulled from All over Los Angeles, including images pulled from the archives of the Southern California Library?yes?.we did research for this party. When Street Inc throws a good time?we like to make sure it?s supported with facts.
