Bank of America Must Change! (Bank of America: Tellers Make Change)
Taxpayers have given Bank of America nearly billion in bailout funds to help jumpstart our economy. Instead they are planning layoffs, paying big bonuses and flying private jets. Enough is Enough!
# Each person should go into the bank and ask the teller for them to "make change" - perhaps two 5's for a 10, two 10's for a 20, or whatever you desire.
# After you receive your change, talk to the teller about how they feel that the CEO of Bank of America makes over 4000 times what the bank's average teller earns.
# Explain how Bank of America is able to keep down its payroll costs at taxpayers' expense by providing its workers with low wages and inadequate health coverage. Ask them about their own experiences.
# End the action by leafleting outside the bank for 30 minutes or so with the full page leaflet attached. Bring a video camera or cell phone with you to film it outside (remember not to film footage inside the building, just the action outside of the building). If you have been asked to leave the property, go to the sidewalk or nearest public space.
# Be polite, when asked to leave, you should leave.
