Join LAX janitors and passenger service workers as they rally for quality jobs, service, and security. This week, thousands of airline-contracted service workers at LAX authorized a strike should it be necessary.
Airlines hire outside contractors for key services like passenger assistance, security, baggage handling, and cabin cleaning. Sadly, workers report widespread lack of training and high turnover, which impact the quality of service and security they can provide for passengers.
Workers have proposed improvements to benefits that would cost airlines less than TPL_CAL_CACH_FILE.25/ticket, but so far the airlines remain silent and their contractors are dragging their feet while passengers and our communities suffer. Enough is enough!
