The LA Social Forum seeks to produce change in society by engaging community
organizations to become more effective in working together for social change objectives. To accomplish this, a key element is to create and promote an atmosphere of open interface between groups that have different goals but will be
able to support and reinforce each other through cooperation and communication. The LA Social Forum will promote peace, protection of human rights, environmental protection, and social and economic justice by directly engaging local
groups and media - all at a grass roots level. All are invited to these three days.
