Join anti-war, community and progressive organizations, including the ANSWER
Coalition, for a very important mass protest for Palestine on the 60th
anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba ("Catastrophe").
Millions of Palestinians are refugees
with an absolute, inalienable right to return to their homes in historic
Palestine. Although the Palestinian right of return has been enshrined in international
law, the U.S. and Israeli governments have resisted all efforts to make the
right of return a reality. Instead, they have killed, bombed, starved and
attacked the Palestinian people and their just struggle for national liberation
at every turn.
Car Caravan to Mass
Protest
The May 18 protest in Anaheim was initiated as part of the 6th Int\'l Al-Awda
Convention. The Convention will take place in Orange County from May 16-18.
After the event closes, hundreds of people from the convention will participate
in a car caravan with Palestinian flags from the convention site to the protest.
There, they will join many hundreds more people at this mass protest action. We
encourage you to attend the Convention (click
here to register), but even if you do not, please meet us at the
protest site at Brookhurst and Orange. May 18 will be the only major Southern
California protest to mark the 60th year of Al-Nakba. Show solidarity with
Palestine on May 18 in Orange County, the heart of Southern California\'s Arab
and Muslim communities.
