The Southern California Library will hold a one-day sale that offers book lovers an unmatched selection of books that open windows to the world around us: everything from titles by Noam Chomsky, Mike Davis, and Pulitzer-prize winner Suzan-Lori Parks; to books on the Black Panther Party and women?s role in liberation struggles; to El Salvador People?s Poetry. The event will take place on Saturday, March 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Southern California Library, 6120 S. Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles (between Slauson and Gage).
Thousands of books will be available, most for only and . Political pamphlets, posters, and CDs?from freedom songs of the 1960s to Afro-South American music? will also be on sale. Offering yet another way to connect to the world in this digital age, the Library will also raffle off a new Zune digital player, worth 0, which puts the power to play and share hours of your favorite music, videos, movies, pictures, games, podcasts, and more at your fingertips.
