UCLA researchers have been in the news lately being exposed for taking money from tobacco companies to addict vervet monkeys to nicotine and for trying to gag activists. It is more important then ever that you join us to remind UCLA that animal research is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.
Please join SAEN (Stop Animal Exploitation Now), LCA (Last Chance for Animals) and IDA (In Defense of Animals) in our continuing campaign against the use of live animals in useless research at UCLA.
This vigil is a peaceful protest. Although the police are always present at events at UCLA we will endeavor to ensure all activists safety and no illegal activity is planned. All interactions with the public and the police department should remain civil and be directed to SAEN, LCA, IDA reps present or the legal observer. Posters, candles and leaflets will be provided. For more information on the types of research going on at UCLA please visit http://www.all- creatures. org/saen/
