Our guest speaker is Gautam Dutta, Deputy Director of the Political Reform Program at the New America Foundation. He will discuss the progress of the ongoing campaign to bring Instant Runoff Voting to Los Angeles. http://www.newamerica.net/programs/political_reform/

Instant Runoff Voting (IRV) does wonders for making our democracy stronger: it raises voter turnout, eliminates the spoiler effect, and saves millions of taxpayer dollars. San Francisco, Oakland, Minneapolis, and North Carolina already have IRV -- and the City of LA is thinking about adopting it for local elections.

How can we get IRV for LA? Gautam will tell us of the great breakthroughs IRV has made since last fall.

The Los Angeles Greens meet the third Wednesday of every month at 7PM at The Peace Center, 8124 W. Third St. (at Crescent Heights) Los Angeles, CA 90048. Meetings are free (donations accepted) and open to the public. Children are welcome. Parking is available behind the building.

Bring a friend and introduce them to the Green Party!
