Common Cause, a national political nonprofit, has been working for over thirty years to promote open, honest, and accountable government and citizen engagement in the political process. Come Un-Paused, the LA youth division of Common Cause, is a youth collective working to bring political awareness and empowerment to youth all over Los Angeles.
Come Un-Paused is kicking off a tour of LA high schools at a free political art party on March 15th. Several organizations, including the ACLU, Rock the Vote, the Constitutional Rights Foundation, Families to Amend California?s Three Strikes (FACTS), and the Independent Media Center, will set up booths with interactive activities. There will be a communal space with art supplies for all participants to work on a variety of art-with-a-message, including a large collective piece to be donated to an area youth center. www.commoncause.org/unpaused
