ANTI-WAR DEMONSTRATION
WHEN: Wednesday, April 2nd, 2003
TIME: 2:00-5:00PM
WHERE: at the corner of Bristol and Edinger, in Santa Ana
WHY PROTEST?-
We do not believe that the world is "America's" colony. We respect other people's sovereignty and autonomy, and believe that this government should do the same. The war is not only about economic interest in Iraq's resources, it is also a vulgar display of U.S. power and "superiority." This government does not need to add Iraq to its list of countries that have been ravaged by war and devastation, in "our" government's quest for world domination. While the U.S. government can afford to spend billion to wage war on Iraq, it supposedly can not afford to provide states with money to pay more teachers, to subsidize childcare, to build more low income housing, or to establish a free, national health care system for all. Instead of spending on weapons of destruction, the government should utilize its vast resources to ensure the welfare of its subjects. For more information, please e-mail atlachinolli_front@yahoo.com
