Thousands of low-cost used and new political and historical books and pamphlets will be available at a one-day-only book sale in South Los Angeles. The Southern California Library?s last book sale of the year, it will feature the newest stock in years. New and rare books will be available at discounted prices, including such titles as Paul Robeson: Here I Stand; The Zinn Reader: Writings on Disobedience and Democracy; Harvest of Empire, by Juan Gonzalez; Watts: The Aftermath, by the people of Watts; Native Son, by Richard Wright; Fast Food Nation, by Eric Schlosser; and much more. The book sale will take place at the Library, located at 6120 S. Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles (between Slauson and Gage), Saturday, September 15, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public; families and children welcome.
