Young Poets between the ages of 8 and 18 are invited to perform two original poems? competing for Cash & Prizes. One poem must be based on the theme ?How to Bridge the Color Racial Line? and the second poem may have any theme. Poets will have the opportunity to meet and question Authors, Agents and Publishers, Discover How to Write a Book, and Get Published from Executives in the Literary Industry.
Contestants will have the opportunity to win computers, savings accounts, book bags filled with school supplies and writing material. Finalist will have their poems published in the 2008 edition of the competitions poets and will also receive copies of the book to give away or sell.
