Agust?n Aguayo was convicted of desertion and missing movement for
refusing a 2nd forced deployment to Iraq. He was confined in prison
for 8 months. He received a bad conduct discharge, was reduced to the
lowest rank, forfeit of pay and allowances and now has two Federal
convictions on his record.
Since 2003, he has sought recognition as a Conscientious Objection and
has fought his chain of command, the Department of the Army, Secretary
of the Army, Steve Harvey in Federal Court and the Circuit District
Court of Appeals in DC. He still awaits exoneration and a possible
fight in the Supreme Court.
