Arna Mer Khamis, a Jewish Israeli activist who had dedicated her life to bringing peace and justice to the Palestinian people started a theater group to educate, encourage, and empower the children of The Jenin refugee camps.
The theater was destroyed in 2002 in the Jenin Massacres and was later rebuild.
Arna's son Juliano Mer Khamis is the director of the documentary "Arna's Children," Where he shows the power of Art, (Theater) in helping children who are downtrodden, oppressed and desolated find hope for the future. In a land where a future is considered a luxury.
