TAR: The Art of Weaving Faiths Creating community in a fractured world
You are ALL encouraged to come enjoy a day of creative mindfulness with 30 people of different faiths! Guided through a fun and artful process using breath, movement, theater games and more, individual stories flow and a group story emerges, revealing a microcosm of our world with all its complexities and possibilities. In this sacred space your participation is a living act‚ to make harmony in our discordant world.
Workshop Guides: Nobuko Miyamoto, Artistic Director of Great Leap is a recent awardee of the Ford Foundation's "Leadership for a Changing World." Her music, performances and community residencies have opened the boundaries between people of diverse cultures for over 30 years. Other leaders include Pete Lee & Hiep Nguyen.
Community Partners: Islamic Center of Southern California, Senshin Buddhist Temple, St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Metivta, One World, Nikkei Interfaith Fellowship.
