* The U.S. War Budget: Bush revealed his .9 trillion dollar budget plan for 2008 last week. It contained over 0 billion for military spending and proposed deep cuts to healthcare and other social programs. It is truly an imperialist war budget, not a budget that will meet human needs. Talk about the contours of the budget, what it means for people in the U.S. and how it relates to the anti-war movement.
* Global Warming & Imperialism: Corporate greed has degraded the environment in the United States and all over the world. Scientists have predicted that 2007 will be the hottest year on record due to global warming. What's the cause of these environmental problems that plague the Earth? How can we fix them? Is it better to focus on individual change or to change the system of greed? Get the answers to these questions and more at Tuesday's meeting.
