DESCRIPTION:

Hundreds of people in LA will be gathering to demand a stop to the pro-gentrification policies put out by our "progressive" elected leaders that in reality increases criminalization and incarceration of our community without addressing the root cause of our continuing impoverishment. We need to put pressure just as the pro-corporate interests do. We have a moral imperative to challenge the mayor for a real social program agenda that guarantees more resources in creating quality jobs, low income housing, 1st class bus transportation system, environmental justice, and not billion dollar contracts to make LA a palatable product for mulitnational corporate
forces to buy off. Come join us this Tuesday at the steps of City Hall to show the power of an independent mass movement that demands accountability and real changes for our community.
