SOLIDARITY ACTION IN LOS ANGELES: ACTION on INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2006 @ 10:30am Sam-Bo-Il-Bae (3 steps/1 bow: Buddhist prayer) for over 1 mile.
What is Sam-bo-il-bae? Sam-bo-il-bae is rooted in a buddhist prayer tradition where you humble yourself to the ground, the dirt, the cruelties of the world to create change in yourself and the world. It is a sacred physical prayer that connects you to heaven, earth and the people. Sam-bo-il-bae has been used in Korea as a form of peaceful protest but also spiritual awakening for the general publice of issues of moral concern.
