The goal of this film is to give hope to the developed world as it wakes up to the consequences of being hooked on oil, and to lift Americans' prejudice towards Cuba by showing the Cuban people as they are.
It's a story of their triumph over adversity, and a story of cooperation and hope.

The discussion after the film will be led by a young woman, Rachel Bruhnke, who is in the film!
Ms. Bruhnke, who leads a group to Cuba in December, specializes in the research of sustainability policies in Cuba and their relevance to U.S. communities and decision makers. She has a M.S. in Environmental Engineering related to her research on renewable energy policy in Cuba. Ms. Bruhnke was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras for 3 years, and has traveled and worked extensively throughout Latin America. She leads a group to Cuba in December.
