The Nation Institute Presents

CRIMES OF THE OVAL OFFICE

BUSH AND THE POTENTIAL FOR IMPEACHMENT

Elizabeth Holtzman and John W. Dean in Conversation at Royce Hall, UCLA on September 13 @ 8PM

Congresswoman and Brooklyn District Attorney ELIZABETH HOLTZMAN, author of the new book, The Impeachment of George W. Bush (Nation Books, September 2006), joins Presidential Counsel and bestselling author JOHN W. DEAN (Worse Than Watergate and Conservatives Without Conscience) for a wide-ranging public conversation on the charges that Bush and members of his administration have undermined, circumvented and violated provisions of the American Constitution they are sworn to uphold.

This historic event re-unites two of the central participants from the Nixon Impeachment era, both of whom have written authoritatively on the crimes of the Bush presidency. On the eve of the fall political season and in light of recent Federal Court decisions challenging the legality of controversial Bush policies, this conversation between two of the most thoughtful and experienced observers of American politics could not be more timely.

The moderator for the program will be Los Angeles Times columnist Patt Morrison. Ticket buyers are encouraged to arrive no later than 6:45 PM. Parking is available and details are provided on the UCLA website.

September 13th, 8pm

Royce Hall, UCLA

A book signing will follow the event.
