JEREMY SAVILLE [comedian]
Robin Williams called Jeremy his ?illegitimate son? while performing live on HBO. Jeremy later realized Robin was being serious, and a paternity suit is now pending. He was flown to New York to audition for NBC?s Saturday Night Live, and though he wasn?t chosen for the cast, he?s sure it?s a right wing conspiracy designed to keep him out of the national spotlight. However, Jeremy is undeterred by the right- or the left for that matter. As a matter of fact he doesn?t even know his right from his left, so there. As far as the past goes he?s studied acting at USC?s prestigious BFA program, and also spent much time training and working out at Chicago?s Second City theater. He can be seen honing his craft nightly at many standup venues across the nation including The Comedy Store, Improv and Laugh Factory. He?s written, directed, and starred in 8 critically acclaimed sketch comedy shows in L.A. in the last 5 years. And has produced, written, directed and starred in a number of short films that continue to charm audiences worldwide. His plans for the future include global domination as well as a salad bar for the Vatican. He expects to see you at at least one of his upcoming shows, and hopes your Grandmother is feeling better. www.jeremysaville.com.
SANJAY SHAH [comedian]
Sanjay Shah is the co-creator of Badmash.org, a comic strip and humor site that has been featured in Newsweek. He has performed standup with Drew Carey and Russell Peters and appears regularly at The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory and other southern California venues.
GAR ROBERTSON [singer-songwriter]
?His intensity is part natural, part conscious beacon to draw you into the interior of his songs.? - L.A. Weekly
Gar Robertson has performed in coffeehouses, clubs and concert venues from Los Angeles to New York City. His focused delivery and disposition to potent lyric has led him to be described as the bastard child of Leonard Cohen and Kurt Cobain. Drawing inspiration from such diverse influences as Ogden Nash and Baudelaire, his bridging of the emotional and temporal realms is complimented by his use of unconventional open tunings on 6 and 12 string electric and acoustic guitar.
CHUCK LEE BRAMLET [singer-songwriter]
An analog mind in a digital world, Chuck has an uneasy truce with pop music. His gestalt recalls Roger McGuinn, the Band, early Springfield, Grape, Leonard Cohen. His songs are dark, but he doesn?t aim for it. ?I attended a close friend?s wedding, she asked me to play a song, and I realized I didn?t have a single love song to play. I ended up playing Eyes of a Killer.? Chuck was an original member of The Violets in Portland Oregon, and did a stint as bass player for roots-pop gurus Gingersol. He plays all things stringed, plus some club-foot piano, and sings his little heart out. ?Thank God for Dylan and Lou Reed? he says gratefully. After being a band member for so long, it was a chance listening to Jay Farrar on Son Volt\'s ?TRACE? that prompted Chuck to buy an old Guild Dreadnought and start playing the Portland scene as a solo act. Now living in Los Angeles, Chuck considers songwriting ?noble work, and excellent therapy.? Two records have been released under his name, 2003\'s POOKS ROAD, and 2004\'s MURDER OF CROWS. www.chuckleebramlet.com
CHRIS VALENTI [singer-songwriter]
Chris Valenti\'s new album is named after his self-description, Emotional Wreck. But he\'s really more a philosopher of love?the kind that didn\'t exactly make it to that happily ever after place. The songs on Emotional Wreck mimic the stages of grief we go through when a relationship ends. His flair for touching upon universal truths help him create songs like \"Passive Aggressive\" about the cute little problems that get blown out of proportion in every dysfunctional relationship; or \"The Ghost of Your Ex\", a tune about dates who can\'t stop talking about their ex-boyfriends. A hopeful romantic with a sardonic sense of humor, Chris has a knack for using self-deprecation and vulnerability to write songs about the hazards and frustrations of love and attempted relationships. He\'s become something of a spokesperson for the unlucky in love. www.chrisvalenti.com.
