Women, Autonomy and Creating a Caring Economy in Venezuela
You are invited to a public event to launch a brand new book in English and Spanish, Creating a Caring Economy: Nora Casta?eda and the Women?s Development Bank of Venezuela and to premier the film Talking of Power: Sex, Race and Class in Revolutionary Venezuela. The guest speaker is London-based Selma James who was recently in Venezuela. She wrote the introduction to Ms. Casta?eda?s book, and is the author of The Power of Women and the Subversion of the Community and more. She is an international coordinator of the Global Women?s Strike. The event will take place Saturday, June 24th, 4-7 pm at Self Help Graphics, 3802 East Cesar Chavez Blvd, Los Angeles.
