PHP-CENTRIC SKILL SHARE / FREE SCHOOL
Do you know, or would like to learn PHP? Do you enjoy coding PHP and need to talk about it? Does making presentations give you the shits? Perhaps this skill-share can help.
Concept:
People get together to present short "lessons" to each other explaining PHP, general programming, or specific topics.
Meeting Structure:
* Introductions, skillset listings, goals.
* Requests for lessons/presentations. Offers to create and present.
* Presentations, questions, breaks.
* Announcements, socializing.
Starting time is 7:30pm. Latest end time is 10pm, but probably earlier.
Presentations should be short (ten to twenty minutes), and performed with a plain whiteboard. There's no projector at this time. The presentation can be about any topic, but programming should be done in PHP, if possible.
Donation toward rent is appreciated. We oppose sexism, racism, religious bigotry, and homophobia. (We may be guilty of them, however.)
