SPYING ON AMERICA: THE NSA’S ILLEGAL DOMESTIC SURVEILLANCE PROGRAM
Discussion with Bill Goodman, Legal Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights
Shortly after the September 11 attacks, President Bush secretly authorized the National Security Agency (NSA) to intercept email and telephone communications by people in the U.S.—without a court-issued warrant. Bill Goodman, legal director of the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), will discuss the NSA’s illegal domestic surveillance program and the CCR’s lawsuit, filed in January 2006, to stop it.
