Join us for an evening of discussion around gang injunctions.
The City of Los Angeles, the City Attorneys office, and the LAPD currently have 20 gang injunctions throughout the Los Angeles area. A gang injunction is a civil lawsuit against a street gang. When someone decides to leave a gang they still remain on the database and this affects their ability to get a job, housing, education, and has negative consequences for immigration purposes.
This is to prepare for a city council hearing that will happen on May 31st at 2pm at City Hall.
