We will be demonstrating against the violent repression displayed by the Federal State Police against “Frente de Pueblos en Defensa de la Tierra” and the Community of San Salvador Atenco, in the State of Mexico, Mexico.

We will present our dignified and collective voice of support for the

We are calling on all those that understand the effects of displacement. We are calling on all those who understand that poverty and corporate interests are devastating Mexico resulting in mass migration to the United States. We are calling on all those that support the EZLN, the “Otra Campaña” and the “6th Declaration of La Selva Lacandona”. We are calling on all people who want a life with dignity.

Please attend to express our concerns about what has happened at San Salvador Atenco and to make known our support for following demands:

1. The immediate and complete withdraw of all State Forces to include but not limited to Police, Riot Police, and Military personnel.

May 3, 2006, Ciudad de México.

Today at 5:55 Local Time At a meting at “Plaza de las Tres Culturas” en Tlatelolco, el Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos from EZLN raised a Red Alert starting tomorrow (May 4, 2006) morning at 8:00 A. M: All Caracoles and “Juntas del Buen Gobierno” of the EZLN, will be closing. He announced that his substitute has already been assigned amongst the ranks of the EZLN in case something happens to him.

Also, all activities of “La Otra Campana” initiated by EZLN since January 1st 2006 around the whole Mexican country will be cancelled as well. The First National walk to listen and to organize, altogether, the righteous anger.

This cancellation is in response to the violent repression that flower growers had suffered on hands of the state and the federal government in the State of Mexico, in Mexico. The flower growers are members of “Frente de

Pueblos en Defensa de la Tierra” who are adherents to “la Sexta Declaración de la Selva Lacandona and “La Otra Campaña” They are well known for their resistance to the expropriation of their land and to their opposition to the construction of an airport on those lands, not long ago.

The EZLN calls to all the members of ”La Otra Campaña” to movilize arround the country and abroad to organize against those acts of violent repression, and to support the “Frente de Pueblos en Defensa de la Tierra” and the community of San Salvador Atenco. He

calls up-on all the adherents as well.

The repression came yesterday against a group of flower growers installed to sell their products in front of the Municipal Hall in Texcoco, Mexico. The Municipal President was against such event because there are already plans to build a Wal- Mart store in thoseplaces. The peoples of the community oppose that project. Even thou the day before the municipal President had already given the permit to the flower grower to install their shops there.

This time of the year is the best time and usually the only time the growers have to make some Money. The May Celebrations: of “Moter’s Day”, “The Day of the Sacred Cross” and “Teacher’s Day” give them that chance.

When their supporters from Frente de Pueblos en Defensa de la Tierra (FPDT) came and block the main road the repression was unleash. Since then the Federal and the state police has been harassing and attacking them. There is one teenager dead and more than a

dozen wounded. 43 members of FPDT have been detained.

All this had occurred while Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos, Delegado Zero del EZLN visits different areas around Mexico

City and the subburbs.
