Leslie Feinberg, one of today's most prominent transgender rights activists, and an organizer in the progressive movement for over 25 years, will speak about lesbian and gay oppression and the anti-war movement, and will sign copies of hir new novel, Drag King Dreams.
Leslie?s 1993 novel, Stone Butch Blues, was translated internationally and won the American Library Association Award for Gay and Lesbian Literature and the LAMBDA Small Press Literary Award. Hir non-fiction work, Transgender Warriors: Making History from Joan of Arc to Dennis Rodman, is the first analysis of the historical roots of transgender oppression.
