LA Media Action at CBS in Hollywood 11am, March 15th Mourning the Death of a News Tradition - Stop Burying the Truth
11 AM at CBS 2 News in Hollywood (6121 W. Sunset Blvd. at Gower). Join the American Friends Service Committee and Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace as they mourn the death of a great news tradition exemplified by CBS newscaster Edward R. Murrow, whose courageous stand for truth was recently portrayed in the film Good Night, and Good Luck.
The protest will have a funereal theme, with a coffin and elegy, and protesters are encouraged to wear black or funeral attire. A delegation that includes a journalist, a religious leader, and organizational representatives will request a meeting with the editors. Assemble in front of the building. The 101 freeway is just a few blocks to the west, and the Red Line\\'s Hollywood & Vine station is also nearby.
