It's the 3-year anniversary of the invasion of Iraq and our troops have been there 3 years too long!

Join us in a 'bikes as an alternative to war-for-oil' presence at the Acura L.A. Bike Tour which starts before the L.A. Marathon. Decorate your bike with "Bicycling against the war-for-oil" or other signs and let Los Angeles know that bicycles are an alternative to the oil dependant resource consuming automobile.

Brings signs about whatever's important to you: I Am Alternative Energy, Impeach Bush, Save the South Central Farm,End Poverty, or ...

Last year many bikers expressed disappointment at the fact that the ride was sponsored by a car company - they joined the ride anyways but refused to register for the ride in protest () . Many may join this year without registering as well.

According to the Acura Bike Tour website you must wear a helmet on the ride.

The minimum speed is 9 miles per hour. They have designated bail-out streets that they will direct you onto if you go too slow - they lead back to the starting area.
