Santa Clarita residents are invited to December’s screening of “Movies to Talk About” on Thursday, Dec 8th 6:30 to 8:30pm, at Vincenzo’s Pizza in Newhall.
December’s film is “A Long Night’s Journey Into Day”, an inspirational film about the issues South Africa faced coming out of the bleak days of apartheid. The film shows how they were able to achieve reconciliation instead of demanding retribution under the name of justice. In this way, they were able to pull their country together to live as one nation, reducing the underlying ethnic hatreds that so often tend to tear nations apart.
The film has won 25 international film awards. This screening is free and open to the public.
