A Report back from New Orleans:
Post Katrina Grassroots Relief in the 9th Ward of New Orleans
Emily and Kim will be talking about their experiences working in the 9th ward of New Orleans with the Commmon Ground Collective. The 9th ward was severely hit by Hurricane Katrina. Post Katrina, it is now struggling against the forces of disaster capitalism and gentrification.
The presentation will include audio and video footage, a slideshow, and a Q&A with lots of time for you to ask questions.
