since the terrorist attacks of a year ago, the alarming move toward an invasion of iraq by a large u.s. military force has been widely planned and discussed. theis issue no longer seems "if" but "when." many disturbing questions remain unanswered regarding the role of petroleum interests, u.s. government history of support for hussein, the israeli-palestinian conflict, and u.s. actions in afghanistan since 9/11. further, since 9/11, ethnic and racial profiling has led to a number of individuals being detained without charges; ominous implications of the patriot bill and related legislation may undermine basic human rights and freedoms of us all. come to listen and share ideas in what promises to be a very informative teach-in on these and other topics related to the middle east.
