Come to the rally to save and reopen the historic Holiday Bowl in the Crenshaw Community.
The Holiday Bowl sits on a four-acre parcel, with plenty of additional room for new, synergistic retail and entertainment development.
The Crenshaw District and South LA have few designated landmarks, and even fewer landmarks that so marvelously exemplify the areas rich, multicultural social history. We should not lose one of our few local landmarks of social and cultural significance, for another strip retail center on Crenshaw Boulevard.
The Crenshaw Distict simpy deserves better: not another cookie-cutter strip mall, but a true community hub, anchored by the ultimate community center- the Holiday Bowl.
