FILMS FOR PEACE presents: "CHAVEZ, VENEZUELA, AND THE NEW LATIN AMERICA"
Aleida Guevara (pediatrician and daughter of the famous revolutionaryChe Guevera) conducts an extended, exclusive interview with Hugo Chavez, president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, exploring what really happened in 2002 when Chavez survived a coup attempt instigated by a group in the United States .
In this dynamic documentary, Chavez explains the origins of the "Bolivarian Revolution", the role of Venezuela in a changing Latin America, and talks about Venezuela's many social programs which benefit the people.
The film affords a rare opportunity to glimpse through the blockade of information imposed by the United States, and into a country rich with hope, dreams, and oil.
