Fresh off the streets of New York, AmerAsian culture vulture Kate Rigg and electric violin diva Lyris Hung twist their classical Juilliard training into a trip hop/ spoken word exploration of the fresh, aggressive, urban Asian (nuyorasian) identity. Also featuring cyber-buto dance by Sato. National Poetry Slam champion, Broadway veteran and featured artist on HBO’s Def Poetry (two seasons), Marc Bamuthi Joseph is an agent for cultural change whose work throws down the challenge to reevaluate the relationship between spoken language, body language and the body politic.
