Hundreds are expected to march through Santa Monica?s 3rd Street Promenade on December 18th, International Migrant?s Day, to celebrate and highlight the cultural and economic contributions of immigrants and migrants to the United States. This year will mark the first time that Los Angeles joins nations around the global in celebrating International Migrant?s Day.
This event is organized by MIWON, the Multi-Ethnic Immigrant Worker Organizing Network, whose partners include: the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles, the Garment Worker Center, the Instituto de Educaci?n Popular del Sur de California, Korean Immigrant Workers Advocates, and the Pilipino Workers? Center.
