Early during the latest Gulf war that started last March and at the behest of the U.S. two laser guided missiles fired by British jets hit a crowded market in Fallujah. They said their target was a bridge, but missed. Between 50 and 100 civilians died at a market and many more were injured. This began the most recent horror and terror forced on the Iraqi people of Fallujah.
And, for the last two months this city’s been bombed by the U.S. The war continues today in its most extreme form with roundups, assassinations and an organized massacre of civilians. However, the resistance to U.S. occupation has also continued. There have been early reports that 17 U.S. marines were killed in the last two days in Fallujah. This nightmare against the Iraqi people and increased killing of U.S. soldiers will not end by allowing Bush to prosecute this genocide in silence. We must continue to say loud and clear that this war and occupation is wrong and absolutely unjustifiable. And, should be ended NOW!
JOIN US at the northwest corner of Highland and Hollywood for an emergency street meeting and rally to end the U.S. assault on Fallujah. Time: 6 PM Date: Thursday, November 11
