Feral Visions - A presentation by the Green Anarchy Collective Film Screening and Discussion at the CCM
Thursday, November 11 at 7pm Cultural Center of Mexico (el-centro.org) Edinger & Main in Santa Ana
This event will be a film screening of the video Surplus; the hard look into the grotesque nature of civilization and the multifaceted resistance to it. The film tackles weighty themes like consumption, technology, objectification, and domination. An in-depth presentation and discussion will follow the film.

-Why is the lifestyle of consumerism a source of such rage today? -How come the privilege of buying goods does not automatically lead to happiness? -Why all this emptiness despite our wealth?
This event will present the origins of civilization; focusing primarily on domestication and alienation, a critique of the modern left, and perspectives on subjects of technology, division of labor, production, organization, representation, mass society, morality, progress, autonomy, and liberation. Feral Visions presentation will conclude with a more practical discussion on resistance, the need to be critical, creating healthier ways of interaction, and rewilding.
Free food and refreshments provided by San Clemente Food Not Bombs.
