This summer because donors decided to give their money to the people of New York, they didn't give money to the local boys and girls club. The club used to offer programs such as gang prevention, conflict resolution, tutoring, leadership, sports, arts & crafts, etc., but because of the lack of donations had to cut many programs. Also, the club staff had to be cut from 8 to 3 people. The kids, about 300, that are members of the club have been heavily affected by these cuts. In response to this, the parents and community of Boyle Heights have come together to organize this emergency fund drive. Please pass the word around.
