SHNOOPY SNOOPERTONS READ ON--------------------------------------- You'll love these bands so much you'll want to marry them. Read on to find out now what you need to know before making one of the most special, and important decisions of your life.
Lil' Kickers: "The duo of Rachel (Curly Girl, Cha Cha Cha) and Raoul (Test Pilot, Red Pony Clock, Casino Ashtrays, Cha Cha Cha, Summer Flings and numerous others) tracks down a long and dusty trail with muted trumpet in hand and reverbed electric guitar over the shoulder." (from schmat records review)
The Cinnamon Roll Gang Puppet Show Fronted by punky puppeteer and LA filmaker Marcel Dejure, Director of The Tooth Email: mdejure@earthlink.net Unofficial URL: http://www.gettheworstbully.com/cinnamon.htm Official URL: http://www.cinnamonrollgang.com/
The Mormons "We don the image of Mormons missionaries to symbolize our dedication, obsession and sacrifice to playing our music. The helmets, white shirts, ties and backpacks are also a fashion neutralizer and a visage unifier. Our instruments are our bicycles and our mission is to rock out correctly. We are The Mormons." Jimmy (bass) Patrick (vocals,) Joey(drums) and Vince (guitar) URL; http://home.comcast.net/~moofeet/
My Barbarian Malik Gaines (vocals, Rhodes, synths), Jade Gordon (vocals, dance), and Alex Segade (vocals, dance, glockenspiel, Micro-Korg) sing dramatic harmonies, propelled by the beats of Norwood Cheek (bass guitar, Mini Korg) and Andy Ouchi (drums). The tastefully dressed singers tell lyrical stories, airbrushing a style spectrum from broadway disco to new wave prog, dancing out unicorn fantasy and urban memoir, in an opera-inflected improv performance style known as Showcore. D'Argento "Two couples that are friends with each other came up with the idea for a band, D'Argento, named after the Italian director Dario Argento. Anna Sew Hoy, an up-and-coming artist who just moved here from New York, and Giles Miller, a jazz-influenced musician, along with Amy Yao, who just started a fashion line, and Jason Taylor, a hip-hop musician.
Their music is a fusion of Goblin, the group that scored most of Argento's movies, and hip-hop. We decided to put them in the very back of the garden, in the bamboo grove. They first performed in LA at the MAK Center garden in black light. They were dressed in white jumpsuits, so as you walked through the garden, you saw these glowing figures playing this gorgeous, haunting music."--Fritz Haig
