October 7, 2004 will mark the 3rd Anniversary of the War on Terrorism in Afghanistan. As the Bush Administration has cried "liberation", the Afghan people are still lacking security and basic necessecites. Aid organizations have had to scale back their work and have been targeted, while Doctors Without Borders has pulled out after 25 years. The Afghan people have payed a high price during close to 30 years of constant war and with the lack of focus and interest by the International Community, they will continue to pay that price. Please join us at the Westwood Federal building to send a strong message to the Afghan people that even though the current administration has forgotten them, we the people of conscience will raise our voices and hearts in solidarity.
Please bring signs, banners, candles - any way of expressing peace and solidarity with the Afghan people.
