On October 16, immigrant rights groups and the antiwar movement will come together for a mass march and rally for immigrant rights in downtown Los Angeles. On October 17, workers from across the U.S. and the antiwar movement will join forces for the historic Million Workers March in Washington, DC.
In celebration of immigrants and the labor movement, A.N.S.W.E.R. LA is showing the exciting film ?Bread and Roses? about organizing immigrant workers in Los Angeles. In the film, Maya, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico working as a janitor, initiates a campaign to organize janitors in the face of great hostility from her bosses.
