Directed by Terry George, this 1996 film chronicles the hunger strike by Irish prisoners of war in the notorious Long Kesh prison's H-Blocks. Begun by Bobby Sands, the strike took the lives of ten IRA activist prisoners. The film is shown from the perspective of the mothers of two of the strikers.
