TRANS/GIVING

LA's award-winning celebration of trans/genderqueer/intersex

artists August 21, 6:30-10:00 Fiesta Hall, Plummer Park, West

Hollywood, CA

West Hollywood, CA--Trans/Giving, LA's award-winning quarterly

showcase and display of art, music, performance, and literature

from trans/genderqueer/intersexed artists proudly announces its

summer show, happening Saturday, August 21, 6:30-10:00

Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park, located at 1200 N. Vista St., West

Hollywood, CA (parking is available at 7377 Santa Monica Blvd.

near Santa Monica and Martel).

One of our goals is to bring new voices and performers to share

with the community, and our August show features a fantastic

summer lineup of full of new artists. Performers include Maxxie

Maxx (singer/songwriter), Caitriona Reed (poet), Sage Chung

(singer/songwriter), Daunn Turner (actor/director), and Sumiko

Braun (singer/songwriter).

We have also been working hard to add a new dimension to

Trans/Giving: film! For the first time, we are bringing short films

to our stage. We will be screening works by Luke Woodward Eli

se Mbessakwini, Rachel Dunn, and more!

On the visual side of things, we are welcoming back Zeo Scott

from his new home in Portland, and he is bringing a sampling of

work from trans artists from the north! We will also be showing

work from Shirley Bushnell with more to come.

Beyond labels, beyond definitions, human beings, artistic

expressions, trans, genderqueer, intersexed, gender-variant,

photographers, artists, poets, musicians, sculptors, writers,

sharing, presenting, giving, Trans/Giving, not one voice, but an

entire chorus, not one star, but the entire sky.

Come see awesome new work, say hi to old friends, and get

ready for a fabulous night of the very best artists in our TGIF

community.
