DESCRIPTION:
On Tuesday, August 17th and Wednesday, August 18th, from 7:00 AM to noon, the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at 2081 Hillhurst Avenue will host a fundraiser for Covenant House of California. A percentage of sales between the hours of 7:00 AM and noon will be donated to the nonprofit, which assists homeless, runaway, and at risk youth through its Hollywood facility. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions about the organization at the coffee and tea retailer?s Los Feliz location. Information will also be available about upcoming Covenant House events, including an August 29th benefit at Spaceland in Silverlake.

Covenant House is dedicated to protecting and safeguarding all children of the street with absolute respect and unconditional love. Its programs provide youth with hope to overcome the pain of feeling alone and abandoned - and the opportunity to get away from a dangerous life on the streets. Programs and services include street outreach, health services, employment/education skills, and a crisis shelter.
