A Special Benefit Screening of "The Ultimate Song" at Arts In Action (1919 W. 7th St. at Alvarado) Friday october 4 at 7:30 pm.
This groundbreaking video explores the musician's role in the struggle to end poverty and explains how musicians are helping the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign (PPEHRC) to put the issue of poverty on the national agenda.
Musicians such as Wayne Krmaer, Jackson Browne, Tom Morello, ice T, Fatima, Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen come together with the leaders of the poor to talk about the power of music and poverty in the midst of plenty.
This special screening will include live performances by Fatima Sambo and other musicians featured in the video. Director Lisa Scott will be on hand to talk about her video.
