DESCRIPTION:
This June, the leaders of the G8, representing the world's richest countries, will meet behind closed doors in Sea Island, Georgia. It is obvious that this location was selected because it keeps away the one thing that always ruins the G8 meetings: people. At the same time that the G8 meets in Georgia, the biotechnology industry and its lobbyists will meet in San Francisco to plan the expansion of corporate power. Thousands of activists will meet them to say NO to the G8, NO to corporate power, and YES to the world we want. Come to San Francisco June 3-9 to fight on our own terms!

Join us 7PM, Thursday, May 27 in Arts in Action, Los Angeles for a benefit and informational meeting for the June SF mobilization. We will be screening videos from the G8 protests in Genoa, Reclaim the Streets in San Francisco, and more. We will discuss the mobilization and facilitate networking among Southern California activists planning on making the trip.
