The following email is from Juanett Davis, Student Body president elect of

Santa Monica College, regarding the ?May Revise Rally? occurring in

Downtown Los Angeles?s Pershing Square this Monday, May 24 @ 12:00pm.

Goal: To empower community college students to fight back against state

proposed budget cuts that would increase student fee?s as limit the number

of qualified students admitted into top California Universities, as well

as to empower Los Angeles area youth to become educated, registered and

mobilized on community college campuses in order to maximize student voter

participation in the November 2, 2004 election.

Initial CalSACC Region 7 Campus Targets:

1. Compton Community College

2. East Los Angeles Community College

3. El Camino Community College

4. Glendale Community College

5. Los Angeles City Community College

6. Los Angeles Harbor Community College

initially on the fourteen (14) Los Angeles area campuses within CalSACC

Region 7. A rally will be held on May 24th, in downtown Los Angeles.

Speakers will vary from students, faculty, community leaders, and
