WORLD WEEK FOR ANIMALS IN LABS- 2004

SUNDAY, APRIL 18th

4:00-5:30pm Kick-off Potluck and Workshop

3517 Ackerman Student Union, UCLA campus

500 animals die every single day behind the walls of Huntingdon Life Sciences. Learn about local targets, effective campaigning, and what?s being done the rest of the year to end animal suffering. Consider bringing a vegan dish to share.

To get to Ackerman, walk north up Westwood Blvd onto the UCLA campus. When the path dead ends, Ackerman Student Union will be on the right. For driving and parking directions, contact: worldweekla@hotmail.com

5:30pm Home Demonstration

An activist caravan will be arranged at Ackerman Student Union. Departing the UCLA campus, the caravan will bring the ruckus to the home of one individual who pays the mortgage with the blood of beagle puppies. Don?t be late for the caravan as this demo is sure to hammer the message home.

Dress in black, bring your chanting voice and a full tank of gas.

MONDAY, APRIL 19th

11:30am Sumitomo Office Protest

Meet at the corner of West 5th Street & South Grand Avenue (5th & Grand) in downtown Los Angeles.

Sumitomo protest and phone blockade! Sumitomo is being hit hard internationally because they pay HLS to poison and kill animals for toxic pesticides. Meet the Sumitomo employees for lunch or call and fax them! 444 South Flower Street, Los Angeles. Phone:

(213) 627-4783 Fax: (213) 489-3000 and (213) 623-7849

Dress professionally, if you?re so inclined.

6:30pm Andrew Baker Home Demonstration

2324 Sunset Plaza Drive, Los Angeles (Hollywood Hills)

Gathering point around the corner. DO NOT BE LATE.

Andrew Baker is the CEO of Huntingdon Life Sciences and the sole individual responsible for keeping the vile lab afloat. More than anyone else at HLS, his grimy little hands are soaked with the blood of countless animals. This demo is sure to ?shed some light? on Baker?s dirty dealings.

Dress in black.

WEDNESDAY April 21st

7:30pm Home Demonstrations

Meeting place To Be Announced shortly.

Activists will be caravanning to the quiet, suburban homes of a few people who deal in the death. The animals don?t clock out at the end of the day, so we?ll be there to remind them. Greet them at the office? Hit them at home.

Bring your chanting voice and a full tank of gas.
