If you enjoy Indian music and dance of the classical variety, walk in for a free day full of performances by top artists! The focus of the day is on the 18th century composer Swati Tirunal (1813-1847) who was a Maharaja of a pricely south Indian State, who composed music in Hindusthani and Karnatic systems of music. The artists perform not for money, but for their love of the art in this feast of Indian music. The day finishes in the evening with a grand concert by one of the oldest living Karnatic Music vocal stalwarts, R.K. Srikantan from India, followed by a fabulous dance program.
